Adams Auto is a class 4 DVSA approved testing station, meaning we test all passenger cars and light goods vehicles up to 3000kg (3 tonnes) in house.

MOT testing is a legal requirement for all vehicles over three years old, with the purpose of making sure that your car meets the minimum safety requirements.

Our servicing comes in three different levels;

• Bronze Service

  • Every 12,000 miles or 12 months

This service covers 31 checks including an oil and filter change and a complete inspection of your vehicle.

• Silver Service

  • Every 24,000 miles or 24 months

A comprehensive service with 49 checks. It includes everything in the Bronze Service plus air filter replacement.

• Gold Service

  • Every 48,000 miles or 48 months

Our Ultimate service! Covering a massive 55 point routine, giving your vehicle a complete and thorough work through. It includes everything in the Silver Service plus spark plug change (petrol) or fuel filter change (diesel)

On every Service;

• The brake fluid condition is tested

• The air conditioning performance is measured

• The starter battery condition is checked

• The cabin filter or pollen filter is inspected and replaced if desired (at additional cost)

Pagid themselves have selected Adams Auto to become approved installers. This gives our customers an assured level of quality and value when it comes to brake system diagnosis and component replacement.

Air conditioning is the process of altering the properties of air (primarily temperature and humidity) to more favourable conditions. Over 85% of vehicles today have air conditioning systems fitted as standard and these are usually found in two different forms – manual or automatic.

The automatic type is commonly referred to as ‘climate control’ whereby the driver or passengers set the temperature and the system maintains the desired temperature. The manual type is just that, in that there is an on-off button to control the system. We will check your air conditioning system for performance and advise you of any maintenance that may be required – free of charge.

We use the Bosch ACS611 (R134a) plus TEXA 707R (R1234yf) fully automatic service equipment to perform all air conditioning service operations.

We offer a complete air conditioning service including:

• System Servicing

• Fault diagnosis and repair

• Cabin filter replacement

• Anti-bacterial treatment service

Tyre Labelling

The new EU label provides important information about safety and environmental aspects of a tyre. Similar to the energy label found on a kitchen appliances, the EU tyre label makes it easy to compare tyres in terms of wet grip, fuel efficiency and noise. It is now a legal requirement for tyre depots to give this information when selling a tyre.

Wheel Alignment or tracking, is important for good road holding and to prolong the life of the tyres. Accidently hitting a kerb or driving at speed through a pot hole can result in misalignment. The direction and angle at which the wheels are set are both important. Wheel alignment involves checking the direction and angle against vehicle manufacturers’ specifications and are both equally important. You may hear these described as toe in, toe out, positive camber or negative camber.

Incorrect wheel alignment can result in rapid wearing on the edges of the tyre and could affect the handling on the vehicle and certainly mean a replacement earlier than would otherwise be required.

At Adams Auto we use the latest 4 wheel laser equipment to provide the most accurate settings.
